Trips or Tons Which is Better?

You know what’s crazy?

On most sites, the total number of trips is tracked more than the total volume delivered.

“We’ve done 8 trips” sounds better than “We’ve done 120 tons” — but it’s the tonnage that tells the full story.

Now here’s where it gets interesting:

If your site ends up using over 100 tons of chippings, and you didn’t ask for a bulk rate or discount, that’s money quietly walking out of your project.

At ₦17,000 per ton, 5% off on 100 tons means you're letting ₦85,000 go — and for what? Just because it was ordered in small batches?

Sometimes, the savings you’re looking for aren't in the cement or the nails — they’re in how you structure your orders.

Just a reminder: Know your project volume. Track it. Negotiate early.

It’s not just stone you’re moving — it’s budget too.
